Drs. Andrea Fisher and Jennifer Joyner-Hall combined have over 40 years of providing psychotherapy to children, adults, couples, and families. While both Drs. Fisher and Joyner-Hall maintain thriving independent therapy practices, they have collaborated to do Parent Coordination work, bringing their shared interest in helping families advance post-conflict as an innovative and necessary extension to their practices.
Although Parent Coordination differs from psychotherapy, the clinical skills required to be an effective Parent Coordinator (PC), such as a strong understanding of child development, family dynamics, and the impact of conflict and divorce on children, are similar to techniques used in psychotherapy. The child's best interest and reducing conflict remain paramount in the work they do as PCs.
