What is District West? How does the process work?

District West is a boutique co-parenting practice focusing on helping families thrive post-separation. We help individuals become successful coparents. By attending sessions together, identifying goals and addressing areas of contention, we keep conflict minimal so that parents can focus on the important job of parenting.

Am I required to have legal representation before engaging with District West?

While families are often referred to us once they have consulted with a family law professional, having a lawyer is not required. Our approach is collaborative, bringing parents together to make decisions for their families.

Does District West work with attorneys and other professionals involved with our family?

We are experienced parent coordinators who can work alongside other involved professionals to ensure the best interests of the child remain the priority. Our goal is to ensure parents have the skills to work effectively and proactively with their coparent.

Do I have to attend sessions with my coparent?

No. It's not required to attend sessions together, but in some situations, it may be necessary to move goals forward efficiently. We assess the level of conflict and determine meeting strategies once we are familiar with our clients.

Are parent coordination/ coparenting services covered by my health insurance?

No. Parent Coordination and coparenting services are not covered by health insurance.
