Helping families move
forward and thrive.

At District West, our goal is to provide culturally affirming and inclusive parent coordination services. We care about families and helping children and adults thrive post-conflict.

You can trust that we will treat you with respect, dignity and compassion in every interaction, while maintaining the highest standards for integrity and ethics.
Being unable to resolve parenting disputes can have a substantial negative impact on your child. If you and your partner are locked in a hostile and prolonged conflict with one another, and a child is involved, you need parent coordination.

Parent coordination is an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) process for separated, divorced, or never-married couples. As your parent coordinator, we can help develop and reinforce parenting plans and resolve concerns relating to your child's best interests.

Clients who request our parenting coordinator services do not have to wait for an official court hearing to settle parenting disagreements. Instead, they arrange meetings as needed and receive decisions much faster than the Court can generate them. This saves the parties a good deal of time and energy, and helps prevent the stress associated with a court hearing. Children benefit immensely from this service, as the parenting coordinator may take their opinion into account, as well.

Partnering with us for parent coordination benefits both you and your child in several ways:

  • Develop and sustain a safe, healthy, and meaningful parent-child relationship while guiding you and your partner through conflicts to successfully and amicably implement your parenting plan.

  • Learn valuable skills and strategies you need to emotionally and behaviorally disengage from a dysfunctional parenting relationship.

  • Learn how to use child-first communication and problem-solving techniques so parents can focus on parenting rather than disagreements.

  • Minimize your child’s symptoms of distress, which can help them develop effective communication tools to assert their needs and wishes, in addition to making for a more relaxed home environment for them to thrive.
